When the mood strikes, there are many great day trips to make on Fire Island. You can climb the Lighthouse steps, meander through the woods of the Sunken Forest, charter a Party Boat, or try your luck with Bluefish in the Great South Bay.

If you can tear yourself away from the Island, there are great places to take the kids for the day. Cool off at a water park, observe sea life at an Aquarium, or just go Bowling.
